There are a range of organisational models and frameworks, covering how well organisations are led, managed and set up. These models build upon the evidence on which organisational-level inputs support key activities and ultimately contribute to positive outcomes (applying a logic model approach: inputs → activities → outputs → outcomes → impact).

Building upon these models and applying our learning from previous inspection programmes, we examine four aspects of organisational delivery when inspecting probation services.

Image shows the four spheres of organisational inputs: a compass to represent leadership, ID badge to represent staff, people speaking to represent services and an information sign to represent information and facilities.
