This report covers our inspection activity for the year 1 April 2022 to 31 March 2023.

During this period, we completed the CPS Area Inspection programme publishing the final eight inspection reports.

Our annual report describes the thematic inspection into the service from the CPS to victims of domestic abuse.

We also completed a joint inspection.  All four criminal justice inspectorates came together in May 2022 to publish a progress report on the impact of the Covid 19 pandemic on the criminal justice system. This was a follow-up to the “state of the nation” report published in January 2021.
