Serious Further Offence reviews

Serious Further Offences are specified offences committed by people who at the time of the offence are under probation supervision. In each case, the relevant probation service provider (the National Probation Service or Community Rehabilitation Company) conducts a review of the probation services received by the individual. In some cases there are other reviews by other bodies as well, depending on the circumstances of the case and the individual.

HMI Probation does not have responsibility for conducting such reviews. Very occasionally, we are asked by the Secretary of State to review particular cases, or aspects of them. When we do that, we generally publish our reports on this website.
