Consultation on Expectations for Immigration Detention

We have been reviewing our Expectations for Immigration Detention over the past year. The previous version was issued in 2012 and the review set out to ensure that the Expectations adequately reflected evolving human rights standards, as well as evidence from important reviews and research over the past five years.

We invite you to read our draft document.
