In his State of Policing report for 2015, published today, Her Majesty’s Chief Inspector of Constabulary says that police forces in England and Wales have met the standards of ‘good’ or ‘outstanding’ in almost three-quarters of the measures applied by the Inspectorate.

Following a commissione from the Minster of Justice of Northern Ireland, Her Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabulary published ‘Inspection of the Police Service of Northern Ireland Historical Enquiries Team’ in July 2013. In 2014, the Minister of Justice of Northern Ireland commissioned a follow-up inspection to report on the progress that has been made by the Historical Enquiries Team based on the findings and recommendations of the 2013 report.
