By 31 August 2015, all chief constables should satisfy themselves that they have processes in place to ensure that investigations into misconduct by officers and staff resulting in “no further action” are fair and free of any form of discrimination.

All professional standards department (PSD) staff have received training in unconscious bias. At the end of a PSD investigation there is a documented case review conducted by at least a chief inspector. Misconduct is completed by each force by a superintendent and is then recorded on the Centurion system by PSD.
