HMICFRS response to consultation on ‘Fire and rescue services draft inspection programme and framework commencing January 2023’
Earlier this year, we ran a public consultation on our draft fire and rescue service (FRS) inspection programme and framework commencing January 2023. The consultation ran for 4 weeks from 9 May 2022 to 6 June 2022.
The consultation asked for views on whether the proposed programme covered the right areas of fire and rescue. We requested responses to nine specific consultation questions.
We received 46 responses:
- 37 from FRSs, or those who work in them;
- 2 from police and crime commissioners/fire and rescue authorities;
- 2 from trade unions;
- 4 from other organisations; and
- 1 from a member of the public.
We have now published our responses.
We are extremely grateful to all of those who responded to our consultation, and the active interest so many organisations have shown in our FRS inspection programme.
