Joint targeted area inspection of the multi-agency response to abuse and neglect in Peterborough

Summary

Between 26 and 30 June 2017, Ofsted, the Care Quality Commission, HMICFRS and HMI Probation undertook a joint inspection of the multi-agency response to abuse and neglect in Peterborough. This inspection included a ‘deep dive’ focus on the response to children of all ages who have been neglected.

This letter outlines the findings of the joint inspection.

Please note: This inspection was carried out before 19 July 2017, when HMIC also took on responsibility for fire & rescue service inspections and was renamed HM Inspectorate of Constabulary and Fire & Rescue Services.
