Published on: 11 May 2022

Publication types: Child protection

Police Forces: City of London

This inspection reviewed the progress made in City of London Police since the publication of our last report for City of London in 2020. It is part of a rolling programme of inspections of all police forces in England and Wales.

During this inspection we:

  • examined force policies, strategies and other documents;
  • interviewed senior leaders, managers and supervisors;
  • held focus groups with frontline staff; and
  • audited 26 child protection incidents/investigations. Of these, we found 9 cases to be good, 14 required improvement and 3 were inadequate.

This report sets out our findings.
