Published on: 7 February 2013

Summary

This inspection of multi-agency work undertaken with children and young people convicted of sexual offences was agreed by the Criminal Justice Chief Inspectors’ Group as part of the Joint Inspection Business Plan 2011-13. Its terms of reference were to examine the quality of the assessment, planning, interventions and outcomes for children and young people who sexually abuse and are supervised within the community.

The focus of the inspection was on the quality of the work undertaken with these children and young people and its outcomes – how the different agencies worked together and what had been achieved.
