Following a full review of findings from the 2013 inspection, Policing in Austerity: Rising to the Challenge, HMIC has produced this compendium, which brings together interesting, practical examples of how forces are approaching the budget reductions. Many of the examples include more innovative practices such as transforming call handing procedures, collaboration between forces and the implementation of new technologies.
