PEEL assessments 2014 to 2018/19

HMICFRS’s PEEL assessments are designed to provide a regular assessment of police forces’ performance.

The questions that make up the PEEL assessments do not remain exactly the same each year, and must adapt to changing priorities and circumstances in policing. 2021/22 saw significant changes to the PEEL cycle, grading methodology and reporting. These changes mean that it isn’t possible to make direct comparisons between the grades awarded in 2021/22 with those from previous PEEL inspections.
