Performance improvement processes in Humberside - review
In December 2006 HMIC inspected Humberside Police and produced a report which considered how the force could improve its performance. The inspection focused on the processes, systems and enablers that are essential for the delivery of effective performance improvement including corporate governance, partnerships, performance management, human resources, finance and strategic issues. As part of the overall approach and cognisant of its role, Humberside Police Authority agreed for HMIC to review aspects of its governance arrangements and a separate management report has been prepared for the Authority.
An inspection of Humberside Police: Performance improvement processes – Revisit
The initial report above made ten recommendations, all of which were accepted by the force. As part of the inspection process, the Chief Constable agreed that HMIC would monitor whether Humberside Police was implementing the recommendations contained within the report. Monitoring would take place at regular intervals, until such time that all recommendations were implemented. This report sets out the findings of the first revisit on 25 and 26 July 2007.
