Serious and organised crime (SOC)
Serious crime that is planned, co-ordinated and conducted by people working together on a continuing basis. Their motivation is often, but not always, financial gain. Examples include:
- drug trafficking and supply;
- organised illegal immigration;
- counterfeiting;
- organised theft;
- burglary or robbery; and
- cybercrime.
