Sensitive intelligence unit (SIU)

A secure environment that receives, assesses, analyses, disseminates and protects multi-source intelligence and data relating to a serious crime threat (such as operations to tackle human trafficking or a drugs supply).

SIUs are a capability which form the national sensitive intelligence network.  This network incorporates the National Crime Agency, regional organised crime units and some other national law enforcement agencies, such as His Majesty’s Revenue and Customs.
