House in multiple occupation (HMO)

A house with at least three tenants forming more than one household where toilet, bathroom or kitchen facilities are shared. An HMO must have a licence if it is occupied by five or more people. It must be suitable for the number of occupants and the manager of the house must be ‘fit and proper’.
