Harassment

Causing alarm or distress and/or putting a person in fear of violence; it includes the offence of stalking, either in person or through other means of communication. It is defined in sections 2 and 4 of the Protection from Harassment Act 1997. High-risk harassment means it is likely that a victim will be subject to an incident that is life-threatening and/or traumatic, and recovery, whether physical or psychological, can be difficult or impossible.
