Advised by the CDI team that for Youth Conditional Resolutions (YCR), the views of the victim are considered and recorded by the Youth Offending Team and the previous history of the offender is checked, prior to a decision to use an out-of-court-disposal being made. The force has introduced processes to make sure it uses out-of-court-disposals, such as cautions, conditional cautions and community resolutions appropriately. All out of court disposal requests go through a Sgt to ensure that their use is appropriate.
