Within three months, West Mercia Police should review its practice of not securing photographic evidence in relation to common assault and assaults occasioning actual bodily harm (ABH), even in cases of domestic assault. By March 2015, if relevant following the outcome of the review, the force should implement a process to ensure best evidence, including photographic (if available), is secured.
