Chief officer
A police officer or member of police staff with one of the following ranks:
- assistant chief constable;
- assistant chief officer;
- deputy chief constable and chief constable in police forces outside London;
- commander, deputy assistant commissioner, assistant commissioner, deputy commissioner and commissioner in the Metropolitan Police Service; or
- commander, assistant commissioner and commissioner in City of London Police.
