Review of the lessons learned from the Metropolitan Police Service’s investigation of Home Office leaks

In October 2008, the Metropolitan Police Service began an investigation into a series of leaks from the Home Office. This led to the arrest of civil servant Christopher Galley, and Damian Green MP. In April 2009, having considered the evidence, the Director of Public Prosecutions announced no charges would be brought against either person.

The Home Secretary asked HMIC to review the case.
