Survey of practitioners who support domestic abuse survivors

The next round of PEEL Effectiveness inspections will take place from September to November 2016 and as part of these HMIC will be assessing how effectively forces protect those who are vulnerable from harm and support victims. This will include victims of domestic abuse and look at the progress made by forces since the publication of our report Increasingly everyone’s business: A progress report on the police response to domestic abuse in December 2015.

As part of this work we are running a survey of practitioners involved in supporting survivors of domestic abuse.

“If you work with a victim of domestic abuse we at HMIC really need your help. So if you’re working for a charity, support network or support group please fill in our survey.

This will help us when we go back into inspecting police forces to decide whether or not forces are providing a decent service to victims of domestic abuse.”
