Making best use of police time

As part of the HMIC Business Plan for 2013/14, it was agreed that HMIC would undertake work to assess the effectiveness of certain aspects of policing activity, including:

• preventative policing,
• police attendance and
• freeing up police time.

These three related areas of business have been drawn together, and will now be delivered as one programme: Making best use of police time.
